Piazzale Michelangelo

Today after school we all climbed up to Piazzae Michelangelo with the Mount students to get a group picture.  The piazzale overlooks the city of Florence, and it is where the picture that you see at the top of the blog every day was taken.

It was beautiful today in Florence, and with only ten days to go until we come back to the U.S., it was time to get picture of all of us together.

Of course, we also had to do a goofy one:

But I think this one is my favorite:

The view from the piazzale is tremendous.

A number of weeks ago I met an American who is living in Florence for a year.  He told me about an experience he had that made him think he could stay here for another five years.  So he said: “That was a five year day!”

Today was a five year day!

I am enjoying your adventures so much! So glad your Mom thought to share them with me. I have forwarded them to Ellie and Graham—Graham spent a summer in Florence with his students 2 years ago.
