Pictures of a Florence Commute

I took pictures today of my walk home after teaching.  The roads were a little wet from a rain earlier in the day.  I want to give you a little glimpse of this beautiful city:

We start at Piazza Peruzzi – the door to the left leads to where my classroom is.  It is often a little tricky to get through the motor-scooters as I go in and out.

Then I walk down Via de Rustici.

Then Via dei Neri

Then Via della Nina – the wall of the Palazzo Vecchio is on the right

Through the piazza at the Galleria degli Uffizi

Through the Volta de Girolam

Over the Ponte Vecchio

A look to the right to see the view of the Arno River

Past the Pitti Palace (Palazzo Pitti)

Down the Sdrucciolo de Pitti

And past the Santo Spirito Church

And to our home plaza – the Santo Spirito Piazza!  Dinner at Gusto Pizza tonight!  Ciao!
